Edinburgh Festival Fringe welcomes you to our travel page
Our aim is , to get you to Edinburgh, and help you find your way around while you visit the various sites.
Trains and Boats and Planes take you to Edinburgh from the Superfast Ferry to Rosyth or the Flying Scotsman from London to Edinburgh we have all the routes covered. Edinburgh has a number of Festivals all year but none more famous than the Edinburgh Intenational Festival which runs from 13th August 2010 to the 5th Septermber 2010. The Fringe runs from the 6th to 30st August 2010.

Edinburgh Airport although International is small and intimate where Arrivals and Departures sit side by side.The move to increase online check ins has reduced queues. It is very much a business airport so its busuiest times are first thing in the morning. Getting to and from the airport is very straightforward buses leave from outside the terminal building £3.50 single £5.00 return Taxis cost around£15.00 to the city Centre both take around 20-30 minutes depending on traffic.

Buses
Edinburgh has a good public transport system which runs from early morning all
through the night. Buses only accept the exact fare and if you dont have this you will be unable to travel. Day tickets are available on the buses. There are two main bus providers in Edinburgh Lotian transport and First Bus tickets between the two companies are not interchangeable.


Tour Buses
As well as many exciting things to do in Edinburgh City Centre if you wish to venture outwith the centre of town. Step on the number 22 bus which will take you to Ocean Terminal and also the home og the Royal Yacht Brittania, well worth a visit.

Finding your way around Edinburgh by foot is often the best way the Old town and New town are joined by the Mound, Lothian Road or the South Bridge all those roads lead from Princess Street to
the High Street.


By Boat
If you arrive in Edinburgh by Boat you will have landed at Rosyth home of Superfast Ferries which makes the journey to Edinburgh from Zeebruge in Belgium if you wish to bring your car to Edinburgh from Europe this is the ideal route.
