Edinburgh has a number of Festivals all year but none more famous than the Edinburgh Intenational Festival which runs from
13th August 2009 to the 5th Septermber 2010. The Fringe runs from the 6th to 30st August 2010.

The best places to go at night during the Edinburgh Festival and Edinburgh Festival fringe are the Courtyard at the Pleasance Theatre and the Fringe Club in Bristo Square there are many other places to go but if you just want a drink and to mingle go to these Venues also there are many shows another great Venue is Smirnoff at the Underbelly in the Cowgate off the Grassmarket.

Comedy Clubs
When Edinburgh is partying with the festival it has a lively comedy scene one of the most frequented is the Stand Club
in York place which has acts nightly a great night out.
